Breathe It All Away

a colored pencil drawing of a woman standing next to a mountain lake with the words "breathe it all away"

We can become quite scattered, quite disconnected within ourselves. Finding a technique or creating time to ‘fall back’ into our inner reserve can be more than helpful. It is not something people of this age find easy as there are sometimes just too many things going on. Breathing can be a useful tool. We overlook the fact that not only does it support our life, but the breath draws in energy. Adding this to our creative mind we can bring our attention to the ‘in’ breath drawing in our ‘life’ energy and the ‘out’ breath a releasing, letting go, detaching. We use this technique in all our meditations. The rhythmic pattern and feeling the moving breath is a very powerful mind tool we use to draw the mind away and towards a quietness, allowing us to gain strength, energy and clarity to manage our days. It may not be instant but it is a useful pathway for us.

About This recording

These offerings are unconditional with the hope that people find something that helps them. All recordings are made with a ‘live audience’ in streaming sessions. They begin with reflections intended to offer a fresh perspective on aspects of life. These are then followed by a guided meditation. We invite you share as you like!

About Pathlight Meditations

These recording are made by Pathlight Meditations, which began to teach meditation-mindfulness in the 1980s after many years exploring whole person development. At that stage, there were few culturally neutral forms of meditation openly available, so they created something practical to fulfill this need in their local community in Perth, Western Australia. They included traditional elements of Intention, Posture, Breathing and Mantra based on experience in India and with different Eastern practices, adapted to be more compatible with diverse personal belief systems.
